## **System Introduction**

When Ragnarok Online launched, it always had the idea of implementing a Pet System that could help players in their adventure in the world of Midgard. However, over the years, the popularity of having pets in the game has declined, and even in private servers, it is the norm to just not have a pet at all.\

With that in mind, we've decided to revamp our pet system, making it exciting and making you feel like you are not just having a random monster follow you around, eating your supplies.

Here in RagnaVerse, we've decided to shake it up just like how we are not conforming to your typical Ragnarok Online server! Your pet will definitely impact your adventure, your pet will definitely make you stronger, your pet will definitely not just eat your supplies! So adventure forth and know that a friendly poring is better than having no friendly poring at all!

## System Overview

We've organized pets into different categories based on their rarity: <mark style="color:green;">Uncommon</mark>, <mark style="color:blue;">Rare</mark>, <mark style="color:purple;">Epic</mark>, <mark style="color:orange;">Legendary</mark>

In alignment with this system, we've introduced a new feature that allows pet owners to enhance their pets' rarity. This enhancement is achieved through a process known as <mark style="color:red;">pet combining</mark>, providing owners with the opportunity to elevate their pet's status to a higher rarity.

To fully fortify our [Mithril Coin](https://docs.ragnaverse.com/mithril-coin) cryptocurrency and ensure its growth, pets in these categories can only be obtained through the Mithril Shop. Consequently, Pet Egg purchases made via the Mithril Shop are permanently added into our <mark style="color:blue;">Liquidity Pool</mark>, as the corresponding <mark style="color:green;">cashback</mark> for the acquired pets is irrevocably <mark style="color:red;">burned</mark>.. Please review the terms accordingly.

## Pet Combining

Pet combining is very straight forward. You will need the following:

* <mark style="color:red;">4 Pet Eggs</mark> of the <mark style="color:red;">same rarity</mark>.
* Successfully combine pets with their respective chances of upgrading to a <mark style="color:red;">higher rarity</mark>
  * <mark style="color:red;">Note #1</mark> On failure, you will receive 1 random Pet Egg of the same rarity as your combined eggs
  * <mark style="color:red;">Note #2</mark> You will also receive one Fragment based on the combined eggs' rarity

To combine pets, select the <mark style="color:green;">Ra</mark><mark style="color:blue;">ri</mark><mark style="color:purple;">ty</mark> you want to combine into, shown below

You will then "sell" the Pet Eggs that you want to be combined to a higher tier

Press "sell" on the NPC Shop Window and progress through the interaction with the NPC.

## Spirit Fragments

Should the pet egg combining process prove unsuccessful, you will be rewarded with 1 <mark style="color:purple;">Spirit Fragment</mark>. Upon amassing 25 <mark style="color:purple;">Spirit Fragments</mark> of a specific rarity, you can exchange them for 1 <mark style="color:green;">random Pet Egg</mark> of the corresponding rarity.
